Training Course Overview
A hands-on course teaching officers how to effectively use vehicles as cover during a gunfight - combining live-fire drills with vehicle assault techniques and real-world decision making.

Course Description
This course is designed to give officers a comprehensive understanding of vehicle-based tactics in a gunfight, covering both defensive cover and offensive assault techniques in a single, progressive training day.

Officers will start by learning the fundamentals of using a vehicle as cover - including how bullets interact with typical car panels, pillars, and body panels - giving them a realistic, science-backed understanding of where cover actually exists in a vehicle-involved engagement. These concepts are then immediately applied through live-fire training, allowing officers to practice and reinforce the techniques in a dynamic range environment.

The second half of the day shifts to vehicle assaults - covering the tactics, decision making, and legal considerations around when and when not to execute these techniques. Officers will work through scenarios with dry guns to ensure the safety of role players while still developing the muscle memory and tactical awareness needed to perform confidently in the field. Officers will leave this course with a clearer understanding of vehicle cover, sharper instincts around vehicle-based threat engagement, and the tactical foundation to make better, faster decisions when a vehicle is part of the equation.
